"What we know about boosters is that they induce a fabulous response, which is much higher and more diverse than what you achieve after your second dose. Vaccinologist Helen Petousis-Harris says there will come a time for booster shots - but it remains unclear when that will be. Petousis-Harris, who has been in Auckland's lockdown, said administering booster shots should only be considered if it can be done in a way that didn't disrupt efforts to vaccinate hard-to-reach communities.
