A man who didn’t think he’d survive after he battled Covid-19 in intensive care last year, is now helping spread Christmas cheer to New Zealand’s Pasifika community. Helping people in his community was not new for Matāfai: he’s been instrumental in raising and mentoring young Pasifika youth, especially in music.
