Deputy President William Ruto has on Friday announced that he is postponing all his scheduled public engagements until further notice. This comes in the wake of rising Covid-19 cases in the country that has been fueled by the Delta variant. My scheduled public engagements are hereby postponed until further notice," Ruto said. In the new Covid-19 containment guidelines issued on Friday, all public gatherings including political rallies are suspended, as well as intergovernmental meetings. "We all should take individual responsibility and adhere to guidelines issued so as to control this ravaging pandemic," Ruto advised the public.
