Covid-19 positivity ratio in Punjab rises to 3pc


LAHORE: In the second wave of Covid-19, the positivity ratio in Punjab has increased from 1 to 3 per cent, and the restoration of backup wards for the treatment has also been started in view of increasing cases, Pakistan Today learnt on Tuesday. According to the spokesman of the Punjab Health Department, 340 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours; of this, 148 were from the provincial capital. The Punjab Health department spokesperson said that the repair of backup wards has been started in view of increasing cases of Covid-19 in Punjab. Furthermore, preparations are being made to open the Triage Centre at the Expo Centre Field Hospital, which was established specifically for Covid-19 patients and prevent other hospitals from being overburdened. The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in Punjab has reached 104,894, with 2,372 deaths.
