Britons desperate to enjoy spending time with their loved ones this Christmas have already pledged to defy any potential ban on socialising over the festive period. TEST & TRACE FAILS TO REACH RECORD NUMBER OF COVID-19 CASES, LATEST FIGURES REVEAL Test and Trace failed to reach a record number of positive cases in the seven-day spell to November 11 NHS Test and Trace has failed to reach a record number of Covid-19 cases, after finally appearing to get slightly better last week. Of the 156,853 Covid-19 cases transferred to the system, 84.9 per cent - or 133,195 - were reached and asked to self-isolate. This is slightly below the previous week, when 85.6 per cent of all Covid-19 cases - or 121,407 - were reached. The PM has said it is his 'desire' to try and allow loved ones to enjoy the festive period together after a tumultuous year.
