The number of total fatalities rose to 610 with the latest figure which is the highest as of now. Meanwhile, Bangladesh has crossed the grim 44,000 mark in the confirmed cases of coronavirus with 1,764 people having tested positive in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of total confirmed cases jumped to 44,608. The death toll accounts for 1.37% of the total infected. On May 29, Bangladesh recorded 2,523 Covid-19 cases -- highest in a 24-hour span, since the first cases reported back in March.
