NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian hinted the shutdown would be extended after locally transmitted cases of Covid-19 ran rampant. There are now 65 Covid cases in Sydney's hospitals, with 21 of those in intensive care and four who require ventilation. Sydney's total Covid-19 outbreak has now grown to 767 since June 16 when the first case was reported.
