Finance Minister Grant Robertson has confirmed tonight that since the latest Covid-19 lockdown is more than seven days, business support now kicks in. Auckland will go to alert level 3, while the rest of the country will go into level 2 for a week from 6am Sunday morning. The latest lockdown triggers the wage subsidy scheme and that applies nationwide. He said businesses can receive both the wage subsidy scheme and the new alert level 2 subsidy scheme. Auckland Business Chamber CEO Michael Barnett said the business coommunity will be "bitterly disappointed to plunge back into alert level 3 lockdown.
