Even before the latest figures were announced, Fiji had the highest number of cases per capita in the world. As announced, we have recorded 1,220 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hour period that ended at 8 am today. There are now 11,033 active cases with Fiji having recording nearly 14 thousand cases in the recent outbreak. The ministry confirmed Covid cases in Nailuva Village and Dokanavatu Settlement in Nanukuloa. Overnight, the Fiji Government announced closure of a ministry office for a "thorough decontamination".
