New Zealand officials travelled to the Cook Islands to see if a travel bubble would work. Melvin acknowledged the trip had otherwise gone well, so could not understand why the travel bubble has not been fast-tracked. "The disease continues to surge in many countries worldwide," the country's dedicated Covid-19 Cook Islands Response website says.
