Road contractors, State House and people considered to be vulnerable in the country have earned big in this year's budget. The budget has been designed to respond to the Covid-19 pandemic. According to budget papers, the State Department of Infrastructure has been allocated Sh124.6b for road development projects and another Sh64b for recurrent expenditure. TSC allocationOn the other hand, Cabinet has seen its budget slashed by Sh530 million with another Sh63 million cut from the Deputy President’s budget. Treasury boss Ukur Yatani is, however, under pressure to cut expenditure from non-priority projects in the budget.
