Wastewater testing is being undertaken in the Coromandel as more people test positive for Covid-19. Seven cases of Covid-19 in the community have been reported, with the original case visiting Coromandel town last weekend. Wastewater testing is set to be done across the Coromandel, beginning in Thames on Thursday, with the first results due on Friday, Dr Ashley Bloomfield said. Two testing stations were set up in Thames and Coromandel town on Wednesday, and Bloomfield said additional testing stations were being set up around the Coromandel. Several locations in Coromandel town were visited twice.
