The country recorded a lower infection rate (6.75%) on May 17, followed by a steep rise in the next couple of months. On May 18, the country reported 1,272 cases, and it has been on an increase since. The overall test positivity rate stands at 16.58%. At least 3,168 Covid-19 patients recovered in the last 24 hours taking the total number of recoveries to 1,475,235.
