TEMPE, Ariz.—In the dormitories at Arizona State University this fall, enforcing mask wearing and limiting guests in residence rooms is part of the job of fellow students. The more than 300 community assistants are mostly upperclassmen who, before Covid-19, spent their time solving roommate troubles and patrolling for underage alcohol. This year, many say, they also get a lot of questions about navigating the university health system.
