A first round of testing on close contacts of the new community case have all tested negative for Covid-19, Dr Ashley Bloomfield says. Businesses visited by the latest new community Covid-19 cases are reacting to the news with starkly different responses: while some have shut down, others continue to trade and haven’t yet deep-cleaned. Covid-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins said it was "not generally" a concern that a business such as Caltex was operating after being visited by the confirmed Covid-19 cases. Google Maps/Stuff Caltex on 70 Grand Drive, Ōrewa was open for business on Thursday after being visited by a new community case. Li had arranged the testing at a GP surgery so staff could avoid long queues at community testing sites.
