One further death related to Covid-19 and 269 new cases of the virus have been reported by the National Public Health Emergency Team (Nphet). It means there is a total of 4,836 Covid-19 related deaths in Ireland, with a total of 243,508 confirmed cases. It comes as the Government will look at getting all construction re-opened in May as “key milestones are being met” with regards to controlling Covid-19 cases, the Taoiseach has said. In Northern Ireland, 82 further cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed, the North’s Department of Health said. The total death toll linked to the virus remains at 2,135.
