Novavax has been available since March 14 for those who cannot have the Pfizer jab or would prefer not to. The Ministry of Health said there had been 1205 first doses given, 143-second doses and 29 third primary or booster doses. Some of the third primary and booster doses may be where people had their initial doses overseas and wanted their third or booster dose to be the same vaccine. Novavax uses a different technology to the Pfizer shot.
