KUALA LUMPUR: Stop spreading fake news about the army being deployed in cities, says Armed Forces chief Jen Tan Sri Affendi Buang. He said there has been speculation spreading and videos depicting movement of military assets – supposedly deployed due to the current situation in the country. "It is actually army assets returning to their respective camps after undergoing training, in line with the movement control order (MCO), which was announced by the Prime Minister on March 16. The Armed Forces chief said all irresponsible parties must stop spreading fake news immediately. "We advise the public not to be easily influenced by any news that might cause distress and panic among society," he said.
