Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced that areas south of Auckland will switch to Covid-19 alert level 3 next week. Another 40 people with connections to the Assembly of God, Church of Samoa sub-cluster have tested positive for Covid-19. The sub-cluster now contains 237 cases and is the biggest within the Auckland Delta outbreak. Within the outbreak, there are seven distinct groups or sub-clusters of people who have tested positive for the coronavirus. It includes Case A, a 58-year-old tradesman who lives in Devonport, who tested positive for the virus on August 17, and other contacts on Auckland’s North Shore.
