The Ministry of Health is starting a survey of New Zealanders asking them to report any vaccination side effects. The survey comes amid a spate of vaccination misinformation being spread around the community including graffiti outside vaccine clinics and anti-vaccination messages slipped into people’s shopping. Director of Public Health Dr Caroline McElnay confirmed the ministry was rolling out its “post vaccine symptom check” to monitor any symptoms from the vaccine. That was on top of existing monitoring through the Centre for Adverse Reactions Monitoring, which works with Medsafe.
