A staff member from Auckland's Middlemore Hospital is not showing any symptoms of Covid-19 after a “PPE protocol incident” while managing a patient from Fiji infected with the virus. The Ministry of Health confirmed Friday night that the hospital worker promptly reported the incident and was moved into a quarantine facility after they were unable to easily self-isolate at home. No-one else was affected and risks from the incident are deemed to be low, the Ministry of Health said.
