According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) a total of 5,923 people died of Covid-19 in the country till now. Of the total deaths 3,079 people have died in Dhaka only, which is 51.98% or more than half. So far, 1,173 people (19.80%) have died in Chittagong, 371 people (6.26%) in Rajshahi division, 470 people (7.94%) in Khulna division, 200 in Barisal division (3.38%), 246 people (4.15%) died in Sylhet division, 262 people (4.42%) died in Rangpur division and 122 people (2.06%) died in Mymensingh division. The country also logged more than 407,000 coronavirus cases with 1,320 people testing positive over the last 24 hours.
