Two people are isolating in Masterton after testing positive for Covid-19. New cases of Covid-19 found in Wairarapa are believed to be linked to a gang party in Masterton earlier this month, which was attended by more than 100 people. Members of the Killer Beez travelled from around the country, including from parts of the South Island, for the gathering, which is thought to have been a patching ceremony. Wairarapa police confirmed there was a gathering of gang members “from the Wairarapa and other areas in the lower North Island and upper South Island” in Masterton that weekend.
