Besides, 15 more people have died from the infectious disease in the division in the past 24 hours, officials said. Of them, 11 died at Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH) and two each in Barisal and Jhalokathi districts. Divisional Health Director Dr Basudev Kumar Das said that a total of 356 patients have died of Covid-19 in the division so far. Meanwhile, the Covid-19 unit of SBMCH is scrambling for beds amid a sudden surge in cases in the division.
