Covid-19: Bangladesh to administer second vaccine dose eight weeks after first jab

Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Director General (DG) ABM Khurshid Alam confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune on Monday. On February 7, Bangladesh launched the vaccination drive with an aim to administer the second dose after four weeks. DGHS Additional DG Meerjady Sabrina Flora said the vaccine recipients will get a reminder message prior to be inoculated for the second time. Bangladesh recorded 11 more deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours till Monday morning, taking the number of total fatalities to 8,285.
