The death toll climbed to 6,967 after 37 fatalities were registered in a 24-hour time frame until Thursday morning, the government said in a statement. The number of recoveries outpaced active cases in the same period as another 4,486 patients recovered from Covid-19 through treatment at home and in hospital care.
