Mr Tudge believes too few university students are on campus. 'I am still hearing from too many students or their parents who tell me that their usual student experience has still not returned,' he will tell university leaders on Thursday. 'So for this year, we must see a focus in our universities on how to enhance the classroom and learning experience of Australian students. Mr Tudge will also take a swipe at vice-chancellors for ignoring the needs of Australian students. Universities Australia chief Catriona Jackson said it had been a tumultuous time for the sector, but student education and research had continued.
