PUTRAJAYA: The government has decided to impose an enhanced movement control order (MCO) in Amanjaya, Kedah, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob. The Senior Minister (Security) said in a press briefing on Thursday (Aug 27) that the special ministerial meeting had made the decision to put the locality under lockdown indefinitely. The lockdown will take effect at 12.01am Friday (Aug 28), and will remain so until the Health Ministry decides otherwise. “Every one of the residents will be screened by Health Ministry officers, ” said Ismail. Only essential services in the area are allowed to operate, and this includes eateries, supermarkets, petrol stations and pharmacies.
