Another patient has died of Covid-19, while 61 people are in hospital with the virus and there are 74 new community cases in the Delta outbreak. The patient died at Tauranga Hospital, the Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday afternoon. There are 61 patients in hospital – four of them in intensive care or high-dependency care units. Of those in hospital in Auckland, 44 cases (59 per cent) were either unvaccinated or ineligible due to their age. Four of these are linked to previously reported cases, while the other cases are still being investigated for potential links, the ministry said.
