There are 60 people in hospital with Covid-19, and 63 new community cases in the Delta outbreak. In addition, an Auckland border worker has tested positive for Covid-19 as part of routine surveillance testing. The case remains under investigation and is yet to be classified as either a community or border case. The one new case in Tauranga is being investigated for links to previously reported cases, and there are two new linked cases in Christchurch. One tested positive at day 14 after being identified as a close contact of a previously reported border case in their bubble.
