The Prime Minister has announced a deal with Denmark for 500,000 more vaccines, meaning there will be enough doses for vaccinations to continue at a high rate. New Zealand’s vaccine programme has received another boost, with half a million Pfizer doses due to land in the country from mid next week in a deal with Denmark. It followed a deal with Spain for 250,000 doses announced on Thursday bringing a total of 750,000 extra doses into the country. “Our sincere gratitude is extended to Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and her officials for their agreement and assistance to sell these doses to New Zealand. More than 4.2 million doses have been administered since the roll-out began and more than 1.4 million have had two doses.
