Sri Lanka’s Covid-19 figures saw another surge today (01), as 277 more persons were tested positive for the virus. Following the new development in Covid-19 figures, Minuwangoda-Peliyagoda dual cluster’s infections tally has reached 20,983. In addition, 04 arrivals from foreign countries – two each from Japan and UAE – were also tested positive for the virus. As per Epidemiology Unit data, the total number of Covid-19 infections confirmed in the country to date now stands at 24,532. Recoveries from the virus meanwhile climbed to 17,817 earlier today, as 257 more patients regained health.
