The latest additions took the total number of Covid-19 cases in the country to 1,535,661 and deaths to 27,906. Bangladesh reported its first three cases of Covid-19, a severe acute respiratory illness caused by a strain of coronavirus later named Sars-CoV-2, on March 8, 2020.
