There are 10,294 new cases of Covid-19 in the community and 18 further deaths of people with the virus, the Ministry of Health says. The update comes after 11,217 new community cases and 13 deaths of people with the virus were reported on Wednesday. There are now 55,515 active community cases of Covid-19 in the country. The ministry said the 18 deaths reported on Thursday included people who had died over the past seven days. While the seven-day rolling average of Covid cases has been declining, the impact of the Omicron outbreak continues to be felt by the health system.
