Many presidents rue an awkward situation brought about by having either a hung Parliament or a minority in the House. Jubilee, in its first term, had a clear majority and extended it significantly in its second term. Now, like a satisfied man with a happy family being misled to abandon it for a "fairer" one, President Uhuru Kenyatta is not only courting the opposition but openly cherishing and taking advice from it to the chagrin of his lieutenants in Jubilee. One gets the feeling that his Jubilee people don't matter to him or he is being led to believe he has what he wants in the opposition. This is a naive and risky gamble that may boomerang badly and compromise his cherished legacy.
