KOTA KINABALU: The High Court here struck out an originating summons to compel Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to table a report to the Election Commission (EC) on the creation of 13 new state seats in Sabah. The decision was made by Judge Azhahari Kamal Ramli in chambers, said lawyer Yong Yit Jee after proceedings on Monday (April 23). Yong represented the opposition Gabungan Sabah coalition, which filed the suit on April 2 naming Najib and the EC as defendants. He said the judge struck out the case, ruling that that it had no grounds the party had no locus standi and the issue was academic since Parliament had already been dissolved.
