SUMMARY Magistrate Tembe allowed the police to hold Omar for 21 days to enable them do a comprehensive investigation on Tecra death. A Lamu Court on Tuesday, May 26, released Omar Lali, boyfriend to Keroche Breweries heiress Tecra Muigai who died late last month. 50-year-old Omar Lali was arrested early this month in Lamu County where he lived with the late Tecra Muigai and detained at the Lamu Police Station following her death. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) applied to have Omar Lali detained for one more week but the court declined. Tecra Muigai reportedly died after a fall.
