The virtual court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Dhiman Chandra Mondol passed order after Kajol's counsel Barrister Jyotirmoy Barua submitted a petition seeking bail for the accused in the case via an email. After hearing the bail plea, the court decided that since the shown arrest hearing was fixed for Tuesday, the bail petition hearing would also be held on Tuesday following that. Earlier on June 16, another virtual court in Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jasim had directed police to produce journalist Kajol in Dhaka court on June 23 in the case. It also directed Dhaka jail authorities’ to bring the journalist Kajol in Dhaka jail from Jessore Jail. Sub-Inspector (SI) Md Ashaduzzaman, general recording officer (GRO) of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court in Dhaka, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
