The State Council’s Administrative Court on Sunday has referred Zamalek FC President Mortada Mansour’s appeal against the Egyptian Olympic Committee’s decision to suspend him for four years to the State Commissioners Authority to file a legal opinion report. The Sunday session, which lasted only for a few minutes, did not see Mansour’s attendance. The Egyptian Olympic Committee in October suspended Mansour for four years, fined him an LE100,000 fine, and obliged the club’s management to call for a general assembly to elect a new club president to replace Mansour. His signature will also no longer be counted for any procedure or correspondence regarding the Zamalek club, especially regarding financial issues or authorization thereof. Ahly said in a statement that Mansour is now defaming families and spreading lies through phone-ins with satellite channels.
