High Court has ordered fresh election of Turkana speaker saying nominees were locked out. The Lodwar High Court on Friday quashed the decision of the Turkana assembly clerk to lockout nominees to vie for the speaker position. AdChoices ADVERTISINGAdChoices ADVERTISINGOn September 20, clerk Linus Lokawa declared Christopher Nakuleu speaker of Turkana assembly unopposed after five other nominees were disqualified. Justice J.K Sergon ordered the clerk to shortlist the nominees as candidates for the position of Turkana speaker. He also ordered for fresh election for the position.
