General News of Thursday, 12 February 2026Source: www.ghanaweb.comThe Court of Appeal has reportedly ordered a retrial of the defamation case between former New Patriotic Party flagbearer hopeful Kennedy Agyapong and veteran journalist Kweku Baako Jnr. According to multiple reports, the court ordered Kweku Baako to refund all payments received pursuant to the earlier High Court judgment, which was in his favour, within 30 days. In June 2020, an Accra High Court ruled in favour of the Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Jnr, in his case against the then-Member of Parliament for Assin Central. Kweku Baako Jnr, in 2018, sued the former Assin Central MP at the Accra High Court over defamatory comments made on different occasions at an Accra-based radio station. Kweku Baako is not a saint.
