A court in Angamly has granted two days' police custody to Mollywood actor Dileep, who has been arrested in assault and abduction of an actress case. The actor who has been counted next to superstars Mammootty and Monhalal in Malyalam film industry has lost his credibility. Meanwhile, CPI(M) Kerala unit secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has said the arrest of actor Dileep in the abduction and sexual assault case of an actress has shown that everyone was equal before law. But with the arrest of the actor that misunderstanding stands corrected," Kodiyeri said at Kannur. If police could arrest Dileep, they have all the freedom to nab and arraign as accused any others found involved in the case, he said.
