A local court on Saturday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for 12 Muttahida Qaumi Movement – Pakistan (MQM-P) leaders including its Chief Farooq Sattar and others in a case pertaining to protest demonstration against the shortage of water in front of Chief Minister House. The court heard a case against 12 MQM people including Farooq Sattar , Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan, Mahfooz Yar Khan, Sathi Ishaq and others. The court issued non-bailable arrest warrants for all the 12 nominated persons in the case of their failure to appear before the court despite repeated summon and issuance of a bailabale warrant of arrest. The MQM-P leader was booked in an FIR registered at Civil Lines Police station in 2015 for staging a protest outside Chief Minister House against the shortage of water in the city. The court while issuing a non-bailable warrant of arrest adjourned further hearing of the case till December 30.
