Court grants police more time to submit report on Gulshan café attack

Inspector Kabir from the police's counterterrorism unit is investigating the case that involves the worst terrorist attack in Bangladesh. This is the ninth time that the court has extended the deadline for police to submit a probe report in the case, said court police SI Farid Mia. Gunmen barged into the Holey Artisan café in Dhaka's Gulshan on Jul 1 last year and killed 20 people, including 17 foreigners. Police started three cases at Gulshan Police Station -- two over murders and hiding information and one under the Anti-Terror Act -- following the incident. A year later, police said investigations in the case under Anti-Terror Act were stuck as some suspects were yet to be held.
