The 25 accused persons have each been granted bail in the sum of GH¢100,000 with two sureties each. The sureties, the court said, should be public servants earning not less than GH¢4000 per month and report to the police. In court on Tuesday when the case was called, ASP Sylvester Asare amended the charge sheet with a new one where 4 of the accused persons were discharged. But lawyers of the accused persons while praying for bail argued that the treatment the accused persons have been subjected to is an infringement of their human rights. They argued further that, some of the accused persons have their wives and relatives depend on them for their shelter.
