Two former Ethiopian Government officials namely Bereket Simon, often referred as the right hand of the late Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, and Tadesse Kassa, A.K.A. The Supreme Court of Amhara Region of Ethiopia finds Mr. Bereket Simon and Mr. Tadesse Kassa guilty of the charges related to selling half of the share of the largest brewery in Ethiopia, Dashen Brewery, to a foreign company, Duet. Different courts in Amhara Region of Ethiopia have been looking into the corruption charges against the two former officials who were board members of TIRET Corporate. Among the charges against the two former officials include selling of about 51% share of Dashen Brewery to Duet, a United Kingdom investment company.
