A Multimedia University student was acquitted after he was arraigned on suspicion of making an IED. Nairobi police boss Japheth Koome said they found out that the object is a computer motherboard with capacitors connected to it. Last Thursday, police asked the court to remand Ngugi for 10 days to establish the motive behind making the explosive device. Milimani senior principal magistrate Peter Ooko discharged the case against Ngugi after the DPP applied to have the case file closed.
