Couple's dream home ‘ruined’ by two-storey house being built at bottom of garden

Louis, 69, and Elaine Cleveley, 68, say seeing the unsightly building out their window every day is like being 'punched in the head.' The pair were over the moon when they first moved to their bungalow in Clifton Campville, Staffordshire, 21 years ago. But that all changed when planning permission was granted a year ago for a contemporary house on land at the back of their house, reports Birmingham Live. “You feel like you’ve got no fight left in you.”The pair's hell began when the council approved plans to demolish an existing bungalow and replace it with a two-storey house on the same site. However the dream turned into a nightmare when the new house started being erected.
