IPOH: A husband and wife were jointly charged at a magistrate's court here for swapping the price tag of a mattress and cheating a cashier at a shopping mall in Falim here. Saddam Abdullah, 57, and Siti Aishah Abdullah, 56, both claimed trial when the charge was read out to them before Magistrate Siti Salwa Ja'afar on Tuesday. Both accused were represented by lawyer Raja Mohd Iskandar Zulkharnian Raja Abdul Malek. In asking for a lower bail for his clients, Raja Mohd Iskandar Zulkharnian said both accused were unemployed, diabetic and suffer from depression. Siti Salwa set bail at RM3,500 with one surety for each accused.
