Police seized HK$20 million worth of heroin in a Tin Shui Wai public housing unit and arrested a couple suspected of drug trafficking. The couple, aged 38 and 44 years, are charged with manufacturing of dangerous drugs and will appear in Fanling Magistrates' Courts tomorrow. Acting on information and intel, the police said they have noticed criminals making use of public housing units as drug distribution centers since February. “The man was intercepted by officers at Tin Chak Estate in Tin Shui Wai yesterday and about 710 grams of suspected heroin were seized,” said a police spokesman. The police spokesman also reminds members of the public that drug trafficking carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment and a HK$5 million fine.
